The construction guys were walking right outside my window and it was very loud. Overall it was a great place to stay in Florence due to the location, friendly staff, and accommodation. The location worked for what we wanted to do and we felt very safe and secure with the staff at the front desk. Easy to get to from airport easy to cross the bridge and close on so close to the. It was noisy because it was close to the ground,had a cage window, and a tiny TV. They were very accommodating when we arrived early and offered to store our luggage, however our room was ready and we were able to check in early. Please see our partners for more details. Our room was booked and prepaid six months in advance and yet they weren't able to offer anything but what was essentially a large cupboard on the first floor. This hotel is lovely, but, it is on the corner of Florence's Golden Bridge, and very noisy until midnight or so.The restaurant upstairs is also lovely, with fabulous views of the city. Breakfast is continental but enough to eat. Guests can enjoy a rooftop bar, free breakfast, and an on-site restaurant during their stay. Hotel Pitti Palace was a fantastic first stay for us in Florence. We thought we would need to use public transportation but didn't need to at all for our stay in Florence. Don't be concerned if cats are not for you. Breakfast was a little slim on protein options, but the staff was very kind. As an added convenience, there is parking available to guests. In addition, guests can enjoy free breakfast during their visit. Both had to be sent back three times because they were frozen solid in the center. The lounge area is very comfortable and being on the first floor has good views of the streets. Would not recommend staying here until they go through a major room renovation. It was by far the worst room ever experienced - it's not clear if the europeans staying there just have lower standards but in the US you would expect better at any roadside motel. The free breakfast was fabulous. They seem to stay out of your way and less you seek them out. However, we found the bread to be partly stale and the dishes just mediocre.
